27/10/2021 - IV TOURNAMENT 4TH OPEN INATEL FOUNDATION (Facebook Município do Porto Santo)
Two years after the last Open of the Inatel Foundation in Porto Santo, the tournament was once again held at the Porto Santo Golf Course. The aforementioned tournament took place between the 22nd and 25th of October, organized by the National Association of Senior Golf in Portugal.
In the competition were about 60 golfers, who shared the field with another two hundred players, mostly Nordics. Among the players were João de Deus Pinheiro, former commissioner and former minister of a Portuguese government, as well as Carlos Costa, former governor of Banco de Portugal.
The modality and the program consisted of a 2-day tournament, where the awards ceremony took place on the last day of the competition and was attended by the Mayor, Nuno Batista and the president of the Parish Council, Joselina Melim.
26/10/2021 - MEETING ON INCLUSION PROMOTED BY PORTA33 (Facebook Município do Porto Santo)
''From line is born space, space inhabits the body'' is the title of the action centered on the relationship between art and education, guided by Dora Vicente, on the theme of inclusion, which Porta33 started on the 26th of October, at the old Escola da Vila.
This will be a meeting intended mainly for those who deal with people with some difficulties, whether motor or intellectual, in an involvement and promotion of coexistence with diversity, among local educational institutions. It was through these that, in Porto Santo, artistic and cultural mediation practices were born, serving the community, through the presentation of methodologies, concepts and working mechanisms, encouraging the development of questions about aging and physical, social and intellectual accessibility.
At this meeting, the contribution of the group of people and institutions that have been developing and promoting work in the area of accessibility and inclusion will be highlighted, including pre-school, primary and secondary education, the Centro de Activity and Training for Inclusion, the Nossa Senhora da Piedade Foundation Day Center and the Senior University.
The opening session of this action included interventions by the vice president of the Madeira Social Security Institute, Dr. André Rebelo and the president of the City Council, Nuno Batista. An event that will run until the 30th of October.
