04/11/2021 - The 1st volunteering camp in Porto Santo LIFE DUNAS ends (Facebook LIFE.DUNAS)
Last October 26, the work carried out by the Porto Santo Volunteer Field in the intervention area of the LIFE DUNAS project – Ponta/Calheta was concluded.
This was an opportunity for everyone involved to get to know the area better and collaborate in the work that is being carried out as well as learn about the actions planned for the next 4 years.
The activity, under the responsibility of the Porto Santo City Council partner, had the participation of 114 volunteers from the local community, with the participation of the Army - Porto Santo Security Detachment, 3rd and 4th year of schools Porto Santo's primary schools, CACI – Activities and Training Center for Inclusion, a professional education class from Escola B+S Prof. Dr. Francisco de Freitas Branco Porto Santo and a group of the technical course of Restaurant/Bar – EPHTM Pólo do Porto Santo.

Recording of the 11/3/21 webinar - “Biosphere Reserves as Sustainability Laboratories: Working for a better world”
On November 3, between 2 pm and 6 pm, the hybrid webinar “Biosphere Reserves as Sustainability Laboratories: Working for a better world” took place. This event, co-organized between the National Commission of Unesco – Portugal and the Superior School of Tourism and Sea Technology – Polytechnic of Leiria, is part of the celebrations of the 50th anniversary of UNESCO's “Man and Biosphere” scientific program (Man & Biosphere) – MAB and also in the celebrations of the Month of the Sea, organized by ESTM and had the support of the National Committee for the MAB Program and the 12 Portuguese biosphere reserves. The MAB Program oversees the World Network of Biosphere Reserves, which already has 727 biosphere reserves in 131 countries, including 22 transboundary biosphere reserves.
