On this World Nature Conservation Day, António Abreu, Scientific Coordinator of “Biosphere Reserves: Sustainable Territories, Resilient Communities”, went to Bom dia Portugal, on RTP, and presented the Portuguese Biosphere Reserves, a project promoted by the Ministry of Environment and Climate Action and funded by EEA Grants Portugal.
These sites, representing natural and human values in an integrated way, “fulfill the objective of promoting nature conservation as a pillar of the economic development of communities” – a necessary commitment, since “nature is a determining factor for development”.
