ARDITI - Regional Agency for the Development of Research, Technology and Innovation integrates, for the fifth consecutive year, the national program Ciência Viva no Verão, with a set of seven actions promoted in the Autonomous Region of Madeira in partnership with various entities.

The program has the following actions:

Discovering the tide pools of Porto Santo | July 18th and August 16th > 2:30 pm

ROVs and other marine technologies | July 26th and 28th > 3 pm, 4 pm, 5 pm

Discovering Science in Cultural Traditions | August 10th > 10:00 am

Light and sea urchins | August 23rd and 26th > 2:30 pm

Bats from the Funchal Ecological Park | August 28 > 8:30 pm

Wood Insects | September 4th | 10:00 am

What garbage does our beach hide? | September 14th > 9:00 am

All activities are free, but registration is mandatory. Entries are made at www.cienciaviva.pt/verao/2021. On the same site, you can find detailed information about each stock.

The entities that this year are collaborating with ARDITI are: MARE - Center for Marine and Environmental Sciences (Madeira pole), the Oceanic Observatory of Madeira, the Interactive Technologies Institute, the University of Madeira, the CENSE - Center for Environmental and Sustainability Research, CIBIO-InBIO - Research Center for Biodiversity and Genetic Resources of the University of Porto, the Municipality of Funchal through the Funchal Ecological Park, the Department of Physics and Astronomy of the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto, the Madeira Theme Park, Porto Santo Sub and the Basic and Secondary School Prof. Doctor Francisco de Freitas Branco.
