The "International Conference on Democratization to Cultural Democracy: rethinking institutions and practices" concluded, it is important to note that the ‘Porto Santo Charter’ was created, which is a strategic document with guiding principles, resulting from a process of discussion and collaboration.

The objective is to improve the policies, cultural and educational practices existing in the current scenario. We are honored with the choice of the island and the quality of the participants. Porto Santo becomes a center for reflection and irradiation of cultural policies for Europe. I believe that all people from Porto should also be proud. The Porto Santo letter fills us with satisfaction.
