The Porto Santo Schools joined the “O Mar Começa Aqui” initiative, a project launched by ABAE – European Blue Flag Association for Beaches to all Eco-Schools, with the support of the Municipality of Porto Santo. Thus, the end of the school year was brightened by sensitizing students to the importance of garbage that falls into the gutter and reaches the sea, highlighting the harmful effects that this behavior has on marine fauna and flora.
