23/11/2021 - PORTO SANTO CELEBRATED NATIONAL PAJAMA DAY (Facebook Município do Porto Santo)
The municipality of Porto Santo joined the Pijama Mission, becoming a Pajama Council. Thus, the Municipal Library organized a series of activities, for the youngest, which took place on November 20th, at Praça do Município.
The little ones, who joined this initiative, came dressed in pajamas and were able to watch the dramatization of the story 'The Forgotten Words', adapted by teacher Rute Areal, a text from Mundos de Vida with illustrations by Yara Kono. This story, written for children and parents, is the ninth book in the ‘’National Pajama Day’’ collection, and tells us about the importance and power of words in life.
The activities also included the choreography of the song ''Acreditar'', where teacher Vânia Morgado taught how to dance the 2021 National Pajama Day Dance-Song, and the singing of the song about Children's Rights “Every child has rights ”. At the end, the executive, also present at this celebration, offered a bookmark and a candy, kindly offered by the Porto Santo Children and Youth Protection Commission, to all participants.
The municipality thanks all the participants in the recording of the story ''The Forgotten Words'', namely the teacher Rute Areal, Lara Quaresma, Raquel Silva, João Tomás Melim, Bernardo Batista, Conceição Latas, Manuel Marques, Lisandra Silva, Sandra Vasconcelos and Sonia Freitas. Special thanks to Sónia Soares, who accepted this challenge, recording the story and editing the sound, and BRGYM for the choreography of the songs.
